Heather qualified as a nurse in 1981 and has been working in the Midlands as a health visitor for 32 years. She has a teaching qualification and lots of experience running antenatal and postnatal groups, which she presently runs across Derbyshire.
She successfully set up a centre for teenage parents and supported young mothers in having a healthy pregnancy and healthy babies. Heather has a wealth of experience in supporting and working with parents before and after their babies are born.
Heather has three children and helped to set up a twins support group in Uttoxeter 24 years ago after the birth of her own twins. She has a wide range of experience in working with families both individually and in groups.
Antenatal support has been a large part of her job, and she continues to be enthusiastic and passionate about the value good antenatal and postnatal support has on the positive preparation for parents, during and after the baby’s birth.
